COMPANY PROFILE: 
This multi-site healthcare organization has been serving the greater Wickenburg area for more than 20 years, providing full scope primary care and related services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.  They currently boast a staff of 3 physical therapists and 1 physical therapy assistant, who are supported by dedicated clinical and administrative team members, and they are hiring due to growth.    



POSITION DESCRIPTION: 
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is responsible for providing high quality services in an outpatient clinic setting (90% of work hours), as well as inpatient / swing bed in a hospital (10% of work hours), supporting licensed Physical Therapists.

The practice’s close-knit team of PTAs work with each other, PTs, administrative staff, and hospital staff to ensure comprehensive, holistic, and caring treatment.  PTAs report to the Director of Rehabilitation.

The core duties of the PTA role include, but are not limited to:

- provide patient screens upon admission by identifying appropriate interventions for treatment
- implement and execute established patient treatment plans under the supervision of a PT
- provide timely documentation per hospital and departmental requirements
- support and participate in department operations and development
- report changes in patient status or needs to supervising PT in a timely manner
- prepare and submit patient charges accurately to provide appropriate billing information
- attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehabilitation
- communicate with PTs concerning patients’ responses to treatment plans 
- coordinate treatment goals with other team members
- provide a minimum of one in-service to the community and/or peers per year
- act as a clinical preceptor for PTA student programs (as appropriate)
- participate in team discussions and planning

This organization plays an integral role in the healthcare of the local community and the PTA will participate in at least one community event per year.


REQUIREMENTS:
- completion of an approved PTA program
- good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
- no experience required
- new graduates are welcome to apply
